  • Industry standard humidity and temperature sensor.
  • High accuracy barometric pressure sensor.
  • Unattended real-time monitoring for several years without replacing batteries.
  • Robust polycarbonate enclosure: weatherproof, impact-, UV-resistant.

The DL-MBX-002 LoRaWAN Ultrasonic Distance/Level Sensor by DecentLab is a versatile, commercial-grade instrument engineered for precise distance and level estimations between 0.3 to 10 meters. Utilizing ultrasonic technology at its core, this sensor caters to a diverse range of industrial uses. These include remotely tracking water levels, monitoring the filling status of tanks and silos, assessing waste container occupancy, and even detecting objects or measuring snow depth. The device’s primary function is to evaluate the gap between its sensor head and the target, effectively serving as a rangefinder.

The DL-MBX-002 works by transmitting ultrasonic waves which bounce back after hitting objects. It then gauges the time it takes for these sound waves to return, considers the speed of sound (adjusted for temperature fluctuations), and uses this data to calculate the distance covered by the waves, thus establishing the distance to the object. This innovative design guarantees reliable and accurate readings even amidst changing environmental conditions.

Use Case Applications:

  • Water level monitoring in running water
  • Flood Monitoring
  • Wastewater management, sewer system monitoring
  • Level/depth monitoring in water tanks
  • Presence detection: car parking monitor
  • Waste management / smart bin: monitor waste bins and recycling containers.
  • Smart agriculture: fill level monitoring in grain, fertilizer or pellets silos
